Emergency Veterinarian
Dr. Hana Ogawa
Hana graduated in Veterinary Medicine in Japan, where she practised as a small animal veterinarian for three and a half years before moving to Australia. Once here, she studied English, travelled, played cowgirl on a rural farm, taught Japanese at primary schools, and fell in love with the lifestyle Australia offered.
For several years, Hana worked at North Shore Vet as an emergency nurse before obtaining permanent residency and completing her Australian veterinary registration (along with a Master’s degree in Accounting – just because!).
Time has flown over the past 15 years, but Hana has never left and continues to work as an emergency veterinarian at NSVSC. She finds joy and pride in supporting worried pet owners, caring for sick pets, and assisting referring veterinarians at all hours. (Hana is also happy to conduct consultations in her mother tongue, Japanese.)
Now, she enjoys balancing everything life has to offer – family, motherhood, school events, her daughters’ dancing, catching up with friends, enjoying blue skies, and work.
