Specialist in Small Animal Surgery
Alastair graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge in 2001 and spent 5 years working in London, initially in first opinion private practice and subsequently for the RSPCA. He then relocated to Sydney in search of better weather.
Alastair completed a surgical internship and residency at the Veterinary Specialist Centre, Sydney. As part of the residency training, he spent periods of time studying overseas, including at the Universities of Florida and Cambridge. Alastair achieved Fellowship by examination in 2012, becoming a Specialist in Small Animal Surgery.
Since his residency, he has worked in referral clinics, both in NSW and interstate, including periods locuming at North Shore Veterinary Specialist Centre. Alastair has spent the past few years working at the University of Sydney, instructing the next generation of veterinarians and surgical residents. He enjoys all aspects of feline and canine surgery, but has particular clinical interests in oncological, neurological and joint surgery.
